Commercial solar management and maintenance
Your installation should perform as well in year ten as it did in year one. We make sure it does.
A commercial solar installation is a long-term asset. Like any asset, it requires ongoing attention to perform as it should — and when it doesn’t, the losses are real: reduced generation, higher energy bills and potential compliance or safety issues.
Footprint Zero provides solar management and maintenance services for commercial installations across the UK. Whether you installed with us or with another provider, we can take over ongoing management and give you the confidence that your system is operating safely, compliantly and at full capacity.
What Solar Management Includes
- Regular performance monitoring and generation reporting
- Planned preventive maintenance visits
- Fault identification and remediation
- Inverter and component management
- Compliance and safety checks in line with current requirements
- Clear reporting so you always know how your system is performing
Why ongoing management matters
Solar panels are robust and long-lived, but they are not maintenance-free. Inverters require attention. Connections can degrade. Panels can accumulate dirt or suffer minor damage that reduces output without triggering an obvious fault. Without monitoring, these issues go undetected and you simply generate less than you should.
A well-managed installation performs consistently across its full 25 to 30-year life. A poorly managed one doesn’t. The difference, in pounds and in carbon, is significant.
Taking over an existing installation
If your current solar installation is unmanaged, under-performing or was installed by a company that is no longer operating, we can step in. We’ll carry out an initial assessment of the system — a Solar PV Health Check — and then establish an ongoing management programme based on what we find.

Is your solar installation being looked after properly?
Get in touch and we’ll talk through what’s in place and whether there’s a gap. If your system needs attention, we’ll tell you what and why. If it’s well managed already, we’ll tell you that too.
We will not use your details for anything other than to contact you regarding your inquiry. See our Privacy Policy for further details.
