The Footprint Zero team has many years of experience in solar across the public and private sector, both in the UK and internationally.
Julian Pertwee – Founding Director
Julian has a wealth of experience in the renewables sector, having been a founder of Hive Energy, one of the most successful solar developers in the UK developing 350MW in five years. Julian is one of the UK’s foremost experts in solar field development and his knowledge of solar development is extensive. He is currently involved in numerous projects which include a number of ground mount and roof solar and battery projects in the UK. Julian’s knowledge of solar has been built up over the last 12 years and he has worked with many of the international sustainable funds and investors, as well as many of the lead solar and battery manufacturers, EPCs and EV charging specialists, including Osprey, where he was CMO.
Rupert Harrow – Founding Director
Rupert has over 20 years’ experience as a commercial lead in UK and Pan Asia, working across a number of leading media brands, including Getty Images, The Economist and Forbes. He specialises in revenue generation, sales planning and execution, strategic acquisitions and product and service integration. His focus is on identifying and analysing growth opportunities, as well as developing and executing our revenue growth strategies, opening doors and increasing market share.
Simon Parker – Chairman
Simon is a high performing, professionally qualified C-suite executive with extensive senior management experience, financial and legal expertise. Since 2007 he has built and managed a $500 million revenue global business in the environmental industry, acquiring significant ESG credentials and specific knowledge in Asia and Europe. Prior to this, he had a highly successful 20-year career in investment banking and law in the Asia Pacific. He is currently
based in the Middle East.
Nick Scott – chief operating officer
With a wealth of experience in operational management and customer success, Nick Scott brings extensive expertise to Footprint Zero as its Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Footprint Zero, Nick was the founder of Total Consulting Limited, where he provided clients with advice on project and contract management in both public and private sectors. Before that, he served as VP Customer Success and later VP Partners and Services at Silicon Valley-based startup Import.io.
In addition to his work with Footprint Zero, Nick provides strategic sustainability advice to the Port of Leith Distillery in Edinburgh and is a certified B Leader, helping companies achieve the increasingly sought-after B Corp certification. He is also a passionate environmentalist and co-founder of the OneYearZeroWaste blog, which provides tips on reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainable lifestyle choices.
Outside of work, Nick is an avid sports enthusiast with interests ranging from kitesurfing to skiing, cricket, and triathlon. He is also passionate about music, particularly vinyl collecting and DJing.
Aidan Jackson - Marketing
Aidan is a senior marketeer with 30 years’ experience working in agency and in-house capacities throughout the UK and internationally for a wide range of B2B and consumer companies. He was Group Marketing Director for telco and tech solutions reseller, Alternative Networks plc, for nine years, overseeing the integration and development of its businesses, leading to its acquisition by Daisy in 2017. Most recently, Aidan was Group Marketing Director for the UK’s leading home improvement component distributor, PWS. Aidan specialises in brand development and marketing communication strategies.
Ingrid O'Donnell – Project Manager
Ingrid lives in Snowdonia and, when she’s not managing projects for FootPrint Zero, she loves being outside in the natural world, taking photographs of the spectacular Snowdonian landscapes and foraging for edible mushrooms whilst she investigates the local prehistoric standing stones for a PhD with Bournemouth University.
Lina Kochanske – Finance and HR Manager
With over 15 years of experience in management accounting, Lina brings a wealth of financial and operational expertise to Footprint Zero. Currently serving as Finance and HR Manager, Lina oversees the company’s financial health, HR operations, and health and safety standards. Driven by a deep personal commitment to sustainability, Lina is dedicated to ensuring that Footprint Zero’s internal operations support its mission for a greener, more sustainable future.
Our operations team is highly experienced and has a policy of only working with recognised, trusted and accredited nationwide installers and panel, frame and inverter manufacturers, possessing Tier 1 warranties. We provide both field and virtual support, which continues post sale.
Together, we possess a high degree of commercial aptitude, underpinned by a collectively broad operational and customer focussed pool of knowledge, with a strong track record of project success.
