Footprint Zero offers three main routes to solar. We’ll explain each one clearly, model the numbers for your specific circumstances, and help you make the right call including telling you honestly when one option suits your situation better than another.
Self funded
You fund the installation and own it outright from day one. Footprint Zero acts as your developer and project manager handling planning, due diligence, installation and energisation. You get the full benefit of the energy generated, and the asset sits on your balance sheet. Best suited to businesses with available capital that want to maximise long-term returns and retain full ownership of the installation.
Co-ownership
Under our co-ownership model, Footprint Zero co-funds the installation alongside you, and we enter a long-term partnership agreement. You benefit from reduced upfront cost while still sharing in the savings and income the installation generates. Best suited to businesses that want to reduce upfront capital commitment while retaining a stake in the installation.
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
Footprint Zero funds the entire project. We install, own and maintain the solar system for 25 to 30 years, and sell you the electricity it generates at a fixed price that is lower than the market rate. There is no upfront investment required and no ongoing maintenance cost. Best suited to businesses that want all the benefits of solar; lower energy bills, fixed costs, reduced carbon footprint and without any capital outlay.
